About ‘OLD HSRP’ for Vehicles Registered during period of 2005-2019

As per the State’s directive, the same can be fitted at either the RTOs or through a dealer of the vehicle’s Automobile Manufacturer or authorized vendors.
The new High Security Registration Plate scheme is to be introduced throughout the country in respect of new vehicles from 31.5.2005 or any earlier date as may be notified by any State for their own State.
HSRP Rules Old (Pre 2005 – 2019)

As per the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), several states in India have implemented a new High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) standard. This new standard includes a 12-digit unique code for both bikes and cars, along with a sticker for cars, applicable to both old and new registered vehicles.
